I’m just curious. I would LOVE to go for a run, but I commute an hour for work AND I’m a parent. That means I leave at 5 and get home at 8:30/9 and still have a few hours to go.
Sure I exercise on my days off but sometimes you just want to run the hospital out of you, you know?
How do y’all manage your exercise on the days you work? Am I just being a lazy ass?
Personally I do 10-15 minutes of yoga/stretching after I get out of bed, no matter what time I’ll get up. This adds up in a week so that gives me some exercise on a total weekly basis.
If anything just ease into, start lightly and dont test your limits. Maybe just do a walk or light run half-way from your commute back home? I do that sometimes, too. It’s a nice mental break after work and you have to shower and eat anyway.
After the shift, especially if it was a hard one. Helped me sleep better, helped me to clear my head a bit and not bring any of the work related worries or frustrations home!
